From reading both of these seem like good choices. I think I'll go with one from the Canon Loyalty program. I'm swaying towards the 60D mostly because of the ability to change images sizes when shooting RAW, plus the fact that both of them can use The Magic Lantern software, which is great, since I shoot a lot of HDR as well.
So which one ?

Not a valid reason since I'm pretty sure you can do the same with the T2i (see page 72 attached). This action should be done in software (DPP) or some other "post" tool. I wonder if you mean the in-camera processing of the 60D? The 60D has the swivel screen which personally I find to be very good in shooting overhead pictures and some nature shots. I happen to do mushroom pictures from the ground, not that everyone is in that form of "nature".

If I'm not mistaken thats the size of Jpg images not RAW, and for me it is a valid reason, only because I don't always need or want giant file sizes.
You can shoot Raw and different jpg sizes, but not different size RAW images, which you can do with the 60D.
Especially with HDR images which when you pile them together, add up pretty quickly. For me , for a three image HDR would be going from 24 Mp to 54 Mp, which is quite a lot.

It is a lot if you are talking about image manipulation in post. For that you need a FAST computer with a ton of memory. For simple storage, it is almost insignificant at the price of storage today. You can get a 2TB drive for about $100 US, that will comfortably store 35,000 of these images.

Reducing RAW image size would seem to be the opposite of what most landscape photogs go for...

T2i will serve your purpose. Use the additional funds towards a 10-22mm lens.

Agreed. The main difference between the two is size, features and ergonomics. The 60D might have the IQ edge in some circumstances since its specs are a bit better, but in general both bodies will give substantially similar results.
