1D MKIII - Shutter Count

I have the above and it has a low shutter count in my opinion, but is there a way to confirm what the count is?

The only way for sure is to send in to Canon for the 1D MkIII. I have tried using what several people say "works every time", with no success. I tried a few last night and it said that my 1D III only has 2600 shutter clicks on it. I know for a fact that is wrong because I've shot more than that in the past month alone.
If you have the time, just send it in to find out.

Get a clean while your at it! Or is it supposed to be, get your shutter count checked when getting a clean?

Ok I have only used it with Lightroom so I wonder I search for this camera in the exif data whether that will get me close?

Maybe, maybe not. Very unreliable as image # can be easily reset in Menus.

You might give gPhoto2 a try. According to their site, the 1D3 is supported "in PTP mode" : http://gphoto.org/proj​/libgphoto2/support.ph​p
