I asked a couple of shops about a repair and they said £200 $250. I've a friend who can take things apart and fix them. Is this likely to be a broken part or will it just require a fiddly or lengthy reassembly? I provisionally bought it so should I be trying to get out of the. Purchase? Any help appreciated. What constitutes "things". I was an auto mechanic 50 years ago and a mechanical engineer designing and supervising complex procedures on large machinery the last 46 years. I probably would not attempt to repair a camera unless I just did the disassembly out of curiosity.
