The AT-X 116 PRO DX-II for Canon uses the same AF motor and AF drive system as the the previous model."

How well does the AF work in AI servo with fast moving subjects close up to the lens?

Here's a few photos from it

Why don't I see any new pictures on your Flickr account using this lens.

I was really hoping for somebody on here to give us a detailed review.

Not a fan of the gold trim...

However, if they managed to engineer a bit of flare control in, that'd be neat...I loved this lens when I had it.

Looks like they have tried to do that:

I bought the mki version on Craigslist for $450 and I really like it, though having LR4 helps a bunch with the fringing.

Not sure if I'm gonna buy the mki version and then put a filter on it, or actually buy the new mkii because of the new multicoating. What do you guys think? Is it possible to fix flare with some kind of filter? I was thinking CPL filter. Would love to see a comparison video/article between the mkii and the mki of this lens. Both looks great.

Flare will only get worse with a filter. Even a CPL.

I was about to buy the Tokina 11-16, so I e-mailed the store in the UK which I was going to buy it and they told me they had the first and the second versions of the lens. There wasn't such thing back then, so I investigated and found out they called the second version the shaved version of the first.

Just a warning for you willing to buy the mkII online, it may be the first one just without the lens hood, not the brand-new mkII.

What do you mean by "the shaved version"? Are you saying there are two versions of the Tokina 11-16mm II?

Don't all Tokina lenses come with a hood?

Ooops, my bad, it is actually the Tokina 10-17mm Fisheye Lens that has a shaved version available.

Nevermind what I just said.

Anyone got some comparison pics or something from the I and II version of this lens? I'm considering buying the first version since it's on sale now.
