Hi
I have got an offer too buy this lens - used - 4 years old - used only for studiowork ( so they say ). Seems too be in good shape - no scratches - front elemte looks fine.
Price is set too 6000 Norwegian kroner - that is about 725 US dollar.
Reason for thinkin of this is that its close too the 24-70 - i think - and the 24-70 is much more expensive - used they are sold for about 1100 US dollar.
New 24-70 cost about 1450 US dollar here in Norway.
So - u see - it would be a great deal - if- and thats the Q - is a good lense - and worth the price.

the 28-70mm is a fantastic lens, I can't tell it appart from the 24-70L. I've used both, just a wonderful optic.

My 28-70L f2.8 is about 4 years old and it's my most used lens. It's a great lens and it has held up extremely well. I would have no reservations about putting it up against the 24-70L in a shoot off.

An L lens is not going to wear out in 10 years, much less in 4. You'll be enjoying this lens for many years to come if you chose to purchase it.

On www. fredmiranda.com 28-70 L is rated a 98 and the average price $935.00
It sounds like a good deal. check on the focus ring to see if is loose ,from ware & tear

The 28mm to 70mm f2.8 L lens is wonderful, optics are very sharp and the quality of build is good, I prefer this lens to the 24 to 70 as I use it with 1Dmk2 and not a 1.6 crop camera body.
