I have glasses. I don't wear them, ever. I have adjust the dioptic adjustment to where it looks the sharpest to me, but I really just rely on the AF to be correct. The problem is when I'm manually focusing. Should I be wearing my glasses? If I wear the glasses, then the adjustment I made to the viewfinder makes it difficult to see.

What do you guys that wear glasses do? Wear them, or not?

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

I don't know if I fully understand the question you ask, but...

I wear glasses when I drive and watch T.V., (not at the same time! heheh) but when I am doing any photography, I wear ONE contact, not two. The reason I do that is, I can see close up with my right eye, so I have the Diopter set for that. I use the contact in my left eye, that way I can still see what I need to, when I need to. It's pretty weird at first adapting to that, especially driving, it's not dangerous, (at least for me) so I am fine with it.
Both eyes are the same visually, if that helps. I never, ever wear TWO contacts, not ever...
Also, I can't watch T.V. or look at my monitor with only ONE contact, it drives me crazy. :)

I wear my glasses everywhere but in the water or in bed. If I lost my glasses I'd be driving by braille.

I wear glasses and wear them when I shoot. If you need glasses wear them - Adjust the viewfinder to work with your glasses, problem solved.

bw!

And, same here. I have gotten used to it, and just tend to wipe my glasses down with my shirt hem if things get smudgy. Besides which, I might miss the shot if I have to pop my glasses off/up and then get my camera.

...Actually, with how bad my vision is, I'd have to get my camera THEN pop my glasses off/up.

Contacts are my first choice. Wearing glasses makes it harder to get my eye close enough to the viewfinder to see the corners well. If the diopter adjustment in the viewfinder could correct for my near-sightedness, I'd do that and skip the glasses. But since it can't I have to wear glasses.

I wear glasses full time - I use a Hoodman glasses model eyecup on the camera.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

I used to wear contacts--all the way back to the 70s, when they were hard plastic.

That created a special problem for me, because they could not be worn for more than 8 hours because they cut off oxygen to your corneas...and left your corneas slightly swollen for hours after that. The problem was that after a long shooting day, I'd have to remove the contacts and then go into the darkroom to print the day's take. Shucks! Swollen corneas meant my vision in spectacles wasn't as sharp as it should have been for printing. So I often wore spectacles when I knew I was headed for a long day.

But I wore soft contacts until I began to need bifocals about ten years ago. I went through a variety of different bifocal contact types until I finally realized that bifocal contacts are not for people who want to see well, they're for people who want to look good. So now I'm wearing spectacles.

I can't see at all without my glasses or contacts - my vision is close to 20/500 uncorrected. I prefer my glasses, but when I shoot I need to wear my contacts. Using a camera with glasses is way too annoying (for me, anyway).

I'm lazy. I leave my glasses on all the time, even though I don't need them for closeup. The thought of taking them off when I go out smacks of planning and forethought (bah! who needs it?) and I'd go nuts if I tried to put them on and off every time I put the camera to my eye.

Cheers, Damien

I find my glasses to be uncomfortable when I'm shooting for a long time, so I usually wear contacts just for those days when I will be.
