The International Society for Aviation Photography publishes "ISnAP" on a more or less monthly basis and the August issue carries my article on a visit to 10 Tanker Air Carrier's firefighting DC-10 "911"

Also, a great photo montage from our 2012 symposium in the greater Norfolk area.

My article is toward the back...

Enjoy!

Nice article. Expertly illustrated, of course.
You can add author to your resume.

:D I spy Jay in the centerfold too. Jay Beckman, centerfold . . .? hmmm?

I'll lay claim to a couple in the photo montage.

Very nice, Jay; congrats! I love the picnic table shot; that one gave me a chuckle :)

Thanks for the kind feedback on the article.

Centerfold... LOL Yeah that's me. That's also my "painterly" shot of the hornet pit stop we're all shooting!

I was trying to read the article, but each time I clicked on the magnifying glass to read the text it took me to a search page. What's the secret, or is it just my software failure?

Dunno Frank. It's like any other e-zine I've seen. Not sure why there's an issue. Sorry

Very cool article and photos. For anyone that has never tried to pen an article, its not as easy as you might think.

Just click the cursor/pointer anywhere on the page. The page will enlarge. Then you can just move your cursor to the area you want to read. Yes, oddly enough, the magnifying glass takes you to "search this publication".

I went back & figured it out. Not an intuitive interface, but you did a great job with the story, Jay!
