Advice/help on 13x19" matte photo paper?

I have used Red River Paper for over twelve years, excellent product and fantastic customer service. They have sample packs, sell the 13X19 you are looking for, and print beautifully on my Epson printer. They give you a suggested profile using the profiles provided by Epson, and actual profiles for your printer for download if you really get into it.

Epson has a good matte paper called Epson Premium Presentation Matte that comes in 13 x 19. Other than than the only Epson papers I'm aware of are their fine art papers like the Hot Press and Cold Press (bright or neutral) which need to be loaded on my R3000 using the single sheet feeder since they are thick/stiff papers.

Another vote for Red River. I generally use Ultra Pro Satin, which is kinda semi-gloss.

As mentioned several times above, make sure to get the right paper profiles.

I use the canon pro platinum photo paper best photo paper I ever used I got it off of amazon.com

I'm not sure why I didn't consider the Epson Premium Presentation Matte in 13x19. It is much cheaper than what I went with: Epson Premium Photo Semi-Gloss. But it isn't really a "photo" paper, is it? It is not resin coated, more like a regular bond paper, I think. Does that matter? Does it hold up as well as the RC papers?

I wondered how the Epson Presentation Matte compares to the Staples Photo Supreme Matte I started off with, so I checked the specs. Epson's is 45# (167 g/m2) and 9 mil thick, vs Staples at 61# (230 g/m2) and 11 mil thick.

Most matte papers don't have an RC photo paper feel to them. They are more like artist papers or older fiber type photo papers. The Canson Rag Photograhique is 320gsm. It's very heavy and I seen people take a print and be really curious about the paper itself. It is not even remotely like a bond paper. Canson will send you a sample pack if you call them.

Several have mentioned Red River and I will echo their recommendations. I have found several of their papers to be quite nice and reasonably priced as well.
