Nice composition and it works well as a mono but the sharpening is OTT, you have a white halo surrounding the outline of the plane which indicates excessive sharpening! It's a great plane though!

Yep, you are absolutely right, I had noticed that yesterday on closer inspection, so I re did it and put it in flickr. Quick post of it here

this was 1/250th but I also took some at 1/125 which were better for prop blur for the Lanc but werent as good compositionally.

My advice would be to go for 1/125th for the Lanc if you're practiced enough at smooth panning, but if not, try 1/200th or 1/250th. Good luck

^^^^I think I like this one better than the first one:)...Prop blur is perfect at 1/125th.
