I just purchased the 10-22 and it is scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. I really like having the lens pouches for the lens. Does anyone know what pouch this lens with hood will fit in?

Thanks.

Depends. Both the LP1219 and LP1319 fit the lens. BUT only the LP1319 will fit the hood (if you want to buy one). The LP1319 also comes with the 16-35L. LP1219 comes with the 24-70L.

I really like this lens pouches and use them for every lens. Would like to know which ones would fit 70-200, 180 Macro, and 100-400. Each of these lenses come with a hard case and I'd like the soft pouch option.

Lens hood for 10-22 is a rather large diameter (but not very deep). So it increases the storage diameter considerably beyond the lens itself. I store mine in a wide slot space within my camera bag, and the 17-85 hood nestles within it. Forget the idea of putting the hood in the same pouch as the lens!

LP1319 is the one you are looking for.

I got a medium-size Pelican neoprene lens pouch for mine. If you get one big enough for the hood, the lens will rattle around inside of it and you might defeat the purpose. With the Pelican it turned out that with the lens face down in the pouch the hood slides snugly over the lens and bag. Not perfect, but it works for me.

Have Fun,

Rick

Hood is the EW-83E. It's the same one as for the 17-40 and the 16-35.

I have mine in a lowepro 1W case however you must remove the hood for it to fit and the hood sets funning in the case. Gosh I hate the hood on this thing.

I really like the Canon lens pouches, but it seems as though the lens hood will cause some problems. Thanks everyone, at least now I have some options.

Hi Doc.
The 10-22 comes with the soft case (LP1319) which should easily hold the lens and hood, as long as you put the hood on backwards for storage in the pouch.

My 10-22mm did NOT come with a soft case.

And, I can attest to the large diameter of the hood. It's created a challenge for me in putting my stuff all in the bag.

No. It comes with neither the hood or pouch. Only Canon's L series lenses do, and although it does have wonderful optics it didn't get the L designation that many feel it deserves.

Sorry for the misinformation about the pouch & hood. The Canon brochure I have implied that it did....I apologize for any confusion created and thank you for the correction.

Mine did not come with a pouch or a hood.

Don't have they hood yet and it missed my Xmas Wish List. Maybe next year.

I don't have a pouch either but this lens in on my camera so often I'd be wearing it out. :)

I was very pleased with the Pop Photo Mag review. Their only complaint was the price.

Let us know what you end up getting that works. Maybe I'll get the pouch with the hood!
