This was shot before an event. Totally random but I like how it worked.

IMO, if you have to use selective color to help me find the subject, you're doing it wrong. Maybe if you cropped it to make it more about the girls and less about the surroundings. I also wish that van wasn't there but I'm sure theres nothing you could have done

yeah, something like that, maybe a bit less space right and more space left, i know the van is in the way but it happens. it makes me think immediately about the fun they're having as opposed to the first, where i was wondering what the photo was about as a first reaction

I don't know.... I think I the original better. We have gone from a city scene to a snap shot of some young girls. If you are going to go with the selective colored crop, you need to mask the red car in the background so it desaturates as eel.

Agreed on the straightening statement. You have some very strong vertical lines on the left behind the tree... I would make sure those are straight.

I like the first one much better than the crop.

Try cropping below the building canopy and not parking signs on the light post to make a panoramic.

- Too much going on in the frame / non-interesting background.
- The subject is too distant
- Looks crooked
- Poor choice in coloring w/pp
