Hello everybody,
I have someone willing to sell me a Canon 70-200mm f2.8L non IS for $850.
He is the second owner of this lens making me the 3rd which scares me a little. The lens seems to be in good condition by the photos i saw but I would need to see if in person before making my final decision. Also, what should i look for when inspecting the lens on and off the camera?

If it looks okay and focuses on command, I'd buy it.

I wouldn't buy it. Instead, I will save more money and get the brand new 70-400 L F4 IS.

I love mine to death, and replacing it is not in my road map...

Go look at the sample image archive. Wonderful lens.

Great deal on a fabulous lens. Remember, if you can keep your shutter speeds a bit higher, IS isn't always needed. This also depends on what you shoot of course.

that's a pretty good price, not fantastic but in the ballpark. i had both the IS and non-IS version of that one, in mine the non-IS was quite a bit sharper.
