Welcome, and the first lesson is: do your research before buying 
That lens is FD mount and it can be adapted to EOS cameras, but it will not focus to infinity without the use of an adapter with a glass element (which will set you back another $30 or so, possibly more for better quality), and even then will be quite bad in terms of image quality and will be fully manual.
If you can tell the seller you made a mistake and thought it was compatible with modern cameras, and that you have realised your mistake, he may let you off. If not, then chalk it up to the learning experience.
