So there is no way? In the headline on ebay it said this :
Sigma Zoom Lens for Canon Camera 1:4.5 - 5.6 f = 75 - 300mm 1.4 Macro SLR Photo

so I am screwed ... there goes 70 $ down the drain

Im not a 100% sure what mount it is but with a lens that looks that old i would say its for canon film cameras... IF it is FD then you can buy a FD-EF adapter http://www.bhphotovideo.com …BEOS_Lens_Adapter_FD.html (external link) but it will only be manual focus.

Welcome, and the first lesson is: do your research before buying ;)

That lens is FD mount and it can be adapted to EOS cameras, but it will not focus to infinity without the use of an adapter with a glass element (which will set you back another $30 or so, possibly more for better quality), and even then will be quite bad in terms of image quality and will be fully manual.

If you can tell the seller you made a mistake and thought it was compatible with modern cameras, and that you have realised your mistake, he may let you off. If not, then chalk it up to the learning experience.

Did you ask the seller whether it would work with your 60D? If you did and he said yes, you could probably start a claim with eBay.

Third from last picture shows it is 100% without a doubt an FD mount, and nothing in the listing even remotely says what type of Canon it's for, so the seller is golden. And as an owner of a 60D, well.... you should have known better. This is the right one for your camera, and it can be had as a buy it now for $20 less. Hate to be the one to ell you this, but you bought a $20 lens for $60.

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

I see "MD" near the lens mount...Minolta MD mount - the seller must have no idea what they are selling!!!

If the seller will not reverse the transaction, I would complain to eBay that the seller MISREPRESENTED the product he was selling.

Good catch Wilt, actually if you look at the lens cap it says Minolta too!
