... not very happy after a 3 mile hike but she still managed a 'sort' of a smile!

Sundays, don't you just love them .....

I think you are a bit front focused as well. I almost always use a center, single focus point and hit the nearest eye with it, then reposition while holding the shutter half-way down.....then click!

Your missus looks like a wonderful person. And I love the L plates on your Rebel, that's funny!:lol::lol::lol:

However, you might try spot metering, or zooming in, locking your exposure and then shooting. Her face is a bit over exposed. Cute photo, though.

I agree. A little front focus. I always use single focus point and lock it on the closest eye.
