Is the copy of Photoshop Elements 2.0 that comes with the 20d good? Ive recently switched computers and had been using PS7, which i dont have the disk to add to new machine since it was a friends copy.

Or should i go and get a better version of PS?

It really all depends what you want to do. I have CS2 and Elements 4 as well. I also have a programmed called Acdsee. Each of them run the gamut of capabilities, but I like having the flexibility between the programs. For example, Acdsee loads quick and lets my browse photos quicker than CS2 (Adobe Bridge) and Elements. However, when I'm editing hardcore, it's in CS2. I only use elements when I want to make an interactive photo disk with music and stuff as it's easy to use, but also has some of the cool functionality that CS2 has.

Each are obtainable if you're a binary newsgroup fan. ;)

There was a big jump in the functionality beteween Elements 2.0 and 3.0. I'd say you want at least version 3.0 (although 4.0 is out now).

And don't forget that you can upgrade your copy of Elements 2.0 to CS2 for $299. I was using a friends copy of 7.0 also and the jump to CS2 was amazing. But it slowed down my desktop enough that I can take my time learning it....

IMO the upgrade was well worth the money.
