I would buy a 17-40L If I needed a walkaround which is not breaking your bank. It is pretty wide, but 40mm. is not that short.

Sep 02, 2012 11:35 | #18 I'd say you already own it: the EF 50mm f/1.8 II. It's a damned sharp lens, and dollar for dollar, you can't buy a better lens. It was my walk-around for years. I broke it, but I got 5 or 6 good years out of it.
