Just curious. The G1 was (is) my first digital camera.
DP Review and Pekka were VERY instrumental in my decision in the first place. I saw a "cult" camera thing happening (defend it with your life or hate it with the same) so I made the switch from my old Nikon FE.
After many thousands of shots with the G1 what was the next step from G1? I needed greater DOF (Pro90?), I greatly missed SLR (D30?, D10?). Too much invested to change brands! D30 or nothing.
I have noticed a lot of D30 user names that mysteriously disappeared from the G1 site that showed up on the D30 forum. Are we all still around but using a different camera?
When I ordered my D30 from Canoga the salesman (not Greg, he was too busy) said he had shipped the exact order to my same zip code last week (redneckville, USA? Man, I would kill to know who this was!).
So, am I the Lone Ranger or have others decided the only next step from G1 is D30?
