I have done a few (only 2) time lapse vids since I installed ML for my Canon 5D Mk2 ... but I wanted to put music to it ... so <commissioned> my son to play his grade 7 piece which I recorded on my iPad (hence bad quality) ... and here is the result - I think I still have tons to learn about composition for these time lapse vids (but with practice - comes perfection - maybe :) )

I particularly like the railway bridge swinging back and forth to allow boats thru and then close to allow trains to cross ...

Thanks for looking - Phil

Pretty sweet that man. Well done. I liked the way you blended several clips but could perhaps have done with a couple of more noticeable changes in viewpoint. None the less you hit gold with the bridge moving.

Well done! The swinging bridge is just a wonderful subject. Loved the clouds and the water in constant motion.

So what were your settings for this? What was the frame rate that you shot this at and what was the final project done at?

Hey - all thx for the comments

The settings were ISO50 f16 1/80 (see below for much better IMO)

and on second thoughts (as I said it was my first real attempt) I worked out that closer to 1/2 second (or even 1.5 seconds) is a better exposure time - f16 is awesome for the clouds - bumped up ISO to 100 and slapped on a 4 stop ND filter for this version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsWfd3x45yk (external link)
and I gotta say - I am FAR happier with this one - I went out to the same spot today (watched a bunch of peeps attempt to catch some Coho salmon (none caught) ... then I run out of clouds :) <never thought I would hear myself say that here in Vancouver!> ... anyway - love to hear your comments on the new vid ... :) Phil
