I tried out the 5d Mark III at iso 12800 with a little rain coming down. I was really surprised at how clean they came out. CC welcomed.

tmalone893,

Nice shots.

Speaking of 'clean,' is that artificial turf they're playing on? Their uniforms sure look clean if not.

No it is grass. The rain hadn't come down hard enough to tear up the field yet. Plus the grass is very thick.

definitely acceptable images at 12.800 iso. but you can definitely see how the noise reduction has affected the IQ. what' noise reduction software did you use?
