Zenofolio
Exposure Manager
crap I thought I found a 3rd, well anyways. My position is this, Im a hobbyist and Im looking for a place to host my site with ability to sell at markup. I haven't sold any on SM but I've been only there for like 3 months or so.

Oh the most important part, I know jack about HTML and css and JS so also looking for a place with easy site creation with advanced features like SM for when I learn HTML or get code from people :)

I am looking into pictage for my replacement to smug mug, more cost but more options!

What level are you on SM, and what are the "more options" on pictage?

This looks interesting.. I would like to see some of examples of their galleries..

I did transfer my SM site over to Zenfolio and I am considering staying, but I'm looking at all options as well.

I can probably self fulfill anyway so I put together a Coppermine site for free.

Most of what I used SM was for reviewing and delivery. My customers are billed directly and provided a CD as well as included prints. Usually 4-6 8x10's printed at home.

Heres an example of my Coppermine gallery. It allows for galleries viewable only be me, or established groups.

Several years ago I gave a number of services, including Smugmug and Zenfolio, a thirty day trial. My conclusion was that Zenfolio was a better fit for me. I have used it ever since without regret.

Another happy Zenfolio user. I use it for both website and photo sharing central / storage (it is in my signature).

So far I've found Photocrati to be the least expensive alternative. It's a wordpress theme with ecommerce...I'm still considering other options though.

I'm moving over to Zenfolio Premium. Hate to say goodbye to Smugmug, but I need to redesign my site and it is a good time to move on after the price hike, which is a bit over the top for me.
