new what? well, I'm trying a softbox. Same grandson though. Thankfully, his Mom saw her way clear to get rid of that god awful mohawk haircut. :)

Did it come out OK? I'm trying to get a sense of the learning curve I'm facing..

It's nice and clear, Steve and I like the pensive expression (and new haircut :) ). Maybe the little shadow on the left side of his nose could be lightened a bit but heck, I'm no expert and I really do like it.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I like it too. Shadows are good for definition. Perhaps a tad dark but good.

I like the shadows in this. I bet it would look very nice B&W.

Great job. I would clone out the white lint on his left arm. I like the shadows also. Looks like he's near a window.

Thanks Dante, Maureen, Sam, Dave, and Bob. Much appreciated.

I was drawn to the photo because of the shadow. I want to try others with more/less shadow just see what they look like, but I'm meeting some resistance from my main model on how much time that will take. I may have to shanghai his Mom or some other unsuspecting soul in order to get the job done. :)
