Well our season came to an end Friday night. We lost 28-14 in round 2 of playoffs. I knew it was going to be hard to watch my sons last HS football game, but I didnt think it would be this hard. The lighting there was crap at best. I had to shoot at ISO 12,800/F4/ at 1/400. They look like crap, I know but here are some from my sons (#3) last HS game....
Matty, for 12,800 f/4 at 1/400 - they look great! We're always our own harshest critics, but these are great. Tough slugging watching your sons last game too - but dad's got some great moments captured for many years to come. My son's season ended Saturday, but he's JV going into senior next year so I've got a little time left...although anymore hits like this and I'm not so sure!
He's quarterback #10 - rolled out and dodged the first tackle by #50 then headed upfield - with his blockers behind him - and into frame came #88, who actually went to changed direction at the last second and twisted his ankle, falling down at the opportune moment in front of my son resulting in a spectacular head over heels tackle - don't know if I looked up at the last split second out of concern or what, but the focus point of the last two frames - the most important - ended up oof. I didn't even get the landing! ARGH! sooc:
