Well, this is the first time I think I have ever posted a link to any photograph I have. I'm nervous as all heck, but....

http://viennaweiss.smugmug.com/ (external link)

I'm not a photographer, just a photo-hobbyist, so smugmug isn't a place for me to attempt to make money, thus it doesn't have to appeal to a customer. This is more about me asking what you think about the layout and general look of my smugmug site, and do I have a good mix of photos, or should I reduce the amount of certain ones.... I'll stop typing now since I kinda need to.

Thanks for any responses.

Power, I just bought the account last week. Do you have any thoughts or opinions about how it looks?

If you are just using the site to show you work and not trying to sell I wouldn't worry about the number of pictures, etc... The layout is fine, but it is a very "smugmug" look if you know what I mean. One of the great features of Smugmug is being able to customize almost everything.

You don't have to do this with your site, but with some custom stuff you can really create your own look. Take a look at my three guys site linked in my sig and you can see an example of how far you can take the customizations.

I really like your street photography!

It looked fine. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as a "wow" factor. Have you considered a watermark on your images?

ThreeGuys, I like your portfolio page and how you've tiled the photos (and making them links).

ZXDrew, nahh... watermarks bug the crap out of me, if someone is going to grab some of my photos (in the posted size) it's fine with me, I still have the originals (at the much larger size).

Thanks for looking.

As for the "wow" factor, I just wanted a simple gallery ot use to share photos with friends, hotlinking, and such. No "wow" needed, and I liked the terms of use from Smugmug, so they got my business.
