What do I do, it does not fit in to what Im doing so it has to go but I fill sick selling:lol: .

Unless the money was all that stood between you and insolvency, I say keep it.

Cheers!

Well I'll jump the trend, if you own it and never use it, sell it.
There are thousands of lenses that take great pictures, I only need the lenses I use.

It's one thing to set on a $100 lens, another to set on a $1000+ lens.

Money grows better in the bank, or better yet, sell the 70-200 for that next great DSLR body.....5D etc.

I kaNt sPeL...

I just sold my 70-200 f/2.8 (non-IS) since I never used it. It didn't make sense for me to own it since I just never used that zoom range. One of these days I may regret it, but by then I'll probably have taken thousands of frames with the lenses I bought with the proceeds.

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

You can always buy it again if you need to. You basically should get back most of the cost, especially if the lens is in stellar condition.

You should get a good price. I ended up purchasing new as the used lenses on eBay were going for very close to new in frantic last second bidding. As I remember one went for MORE than a new lens on Amazon.com. Bidding can be strange.

ON Ebay, you have a great chance of getting nearly all your money if not equal or more with popular lens. Heck that 50 1.8 MKII sometimes gets more on their than it goes for new.

I just saw one go for £1130 and that one was made in 2002 where as mine I got in March of this year ( still under UK warranty) and is totally mint condition, sharp as a pin, thats why I find it hard to give up.

Yeah, right now is probably not a good time. Maybe 2 weeks ago, right when Christmas shopping was really big. You might want to wait a week till after Christmas at least.
