Check this out: http://www.justluxe.com …onics/feature-1762235.php (external link)

It is a Nikon 6mm f/2.8 fisheye that covers 220 degrees, meaning that it can see behind itself. At $161,400 the added cost of a full frame Nikon body should be a minor issue.

Canon 80D, 60D, Canon 10-22EFs, 15-85EFS IS, Sigma 100-400, Sigma 135/1.8ART, Sigma 30mm f/1.4DC, Canon 60mm EFs Macro, Rokinon 8mm fisheye, 550EX flash, Olympus TG6 underwater P&S
Postprocessing: DxOLabs 5, DxO Viewpoint 3, Paint Shop Pro 2021
Speak softly and carry a big zoom.

The photos look like cr@p. I would never spend that much money on a rare fish-eye lens. Even if it were $1,000.00 I wouldn't buy it.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

I think I can get the same pic shooting a macro lens through a hotel-room peep hole.

Nobody cares what you think about it's usefulness. It's a collector's item.

What sucks even more is that you now have to worry about light sources flaring from BEHIND you along with in front of you.

You would have to worry about accidently capturing your feet in the majority of your photos ;)

Looks interesting, didn't even know such lens exist. I am curious about the practical use of it though.

It's a Nikon lens, practical uses include: Doorstop, Bookend, Paper Weight, and scrap metal to make a Canon L Lens ;)

I think it was more of a creativity thing than a practical use. Though I bet some nice astro-photos could be had.

Sounds like somebody needs to get off of a public forum if he doesn't want to hear what people think... ;)

Price tag is a little steep for sure. I'm sure it was all about what they are capable of doing, not necessarily about the superb IQ. I'd like to see some more real world shots from it.

Hope I didn't rub** anyone the wrong way for saying what I think :D

The best use would probably be taking pictures straight up. You would get the whole sky and the full 360° landscape around.

Hmm, I don't think I would like the look of shooting through a submarine window all the time...

If your actually read the article, you will see it was made for Antarctic explorers.

Talk about ignorance!
