This road is buried under snow most of the year.  2.  3.  4.  5.  6.  7. You can see all the people climbing up the cable to the top of half dome on this one  8. Many people go the Yosemite and never even see this part of the park. They don't know what they are missing!  Fuji XT-2, XT-3, Sony A1, A7RIV, A9, and an OM-1

I'm trying to talk the wife into a Tuolumne/Mono Lake trip in two years.... Canon 5D3, Canon XTI (IR converted), 24-70 f2.8L, 16-35 f4L, 50 1.4, 70-200 f2.8L, 100 2.8 macro, 430 ex & 580 exII speedlights.

Sep 06, 2012 20:18 | #8 Thanks everyone! I'm really happy I decided to take the long way home and go that way. It's the first time in years I had been up there, and the first time ever with good gear, and heck, I didn't even have my "landscape" camera and lens with me (5D2 and 16-35). The wide angles were all with a 7D with a Tamron 10-24, and the long shots were a 1DIV with my 100-400L. I had been at a railroad museum in Portola CA the day prior as well as doing some birding, so had more "action" type stuff with me. I need to try to get back up there on a weekday before the first storm closes the pass for the winter with my entire kit, and see what I can do. Fuji XT-2, XT-3, Sony A1, A7RIV, A9, and an OM-1
