This guy was amazing. When I saw him trotting on the side of the road I whipped my car onto the shoulder and hopped out to shoot him. He let me follow from less than 10' away, snapping away pictures for almost fifteen minutes. Watching him scent snowshoe hare tracks skip in and out of the brush was so much fun.

Thanks all! This was in western Maine, near Rangeley.

Definitely "up north" - but I should say that we get snowshoe hare here in southern New York, thought I don't know how much farther south their range extends.
