Hey! Well done, Beesparkle! :) Good stereo with an extreme Through the Window (TTW) effect.

A couple of suggested refinements for you to consider. Firstly, put a frame around the chips; this will make freeviewing easier for those learning the skill. Secondly, put all the flower Behind The Window to notice the different effect. If you like I could repost your shots with the suggestions done if you give your general consent to image editing.

I look forward to seeing more of your stereos! :D

Excellent Beesparkle- Orchids really show well in 3-D because of their complexity. You've definately got the hang of this :). Lovely 3-D depth with the background in focus.- were you using a wide angle lens?

Thanks for kind remarks and suggestions Balliolman. Yes of course please feel free to edit and repost.
Could you also explain to me 'putting the orchid behind the window'? not sure what that is! thanks
Thanks LordV for your kind remarks also! I just used my A95 camera! It was taken with the fixed lense but I did have a close up lense attached to bring it a bit closer. I think I used aperture 8.

Happy Christmas! Its nearly here!!

Here it is. I have pushed the subject behind the window and added a frame. I did not sharpen as the results were poor. What do you think? :D

Quite simply the frame around a stereo represents a window frame in real life. Everything should appear behind the frame in stereo as it would appear in real life when looking at a scene through a window. Pretty technical, huh? :)

Your vertical alignment in this shot was very, very good indeed. That alone made tweaking your stereo easy to do. Which program are you using to process your chips? I prefer Stereo Photo Maker.

I'd like to get a top quality tripod ... Finances are tight: with the kids clearly at the front of the queue, Dad is firmly last in line. Santa will have to skip a year.

Lol Oh dear yes Mummy Christmas is near the bottom of the list here I think! My hubby got me a tripod last year but as I was only just starting to play about he got me a cheapy one to see if I would really get into it..... which I am! But yes the kiddies are the priority at the moment. I do use stereo photo maker. Not sure of all it does yet but playing around when I get a spare minuite.
Happy Christmas
