Most pros I know try to sell their used equipment to other photographers. I know this because I get the emails and phone calls from them, asking if I want to buy it.
However, these guys usually want pretty close to top dollar. So, their equipment is heavily used, with very high shutter counts, and they want top dollar. Definitely not the best way to buy used equipment. Rather, its about the worst way, in my opinion.
