Anyone buy it yet? :)

Mine arrived a couple of weeks back but I've been too busy to use it in anger and only done some rudimentary testing.

CA control and saturation are excellent (as to be expected) and the only real negative is the amount of vignetting at f/2-2.8......over 3 stops in the corners and a good centre grad would be a real benefit.

Thanks. I've read good things about it's wide open performance. Vignetting seems to be a characteristic with Zeiss but, I don't think it's a bad thing. :)

I think they've broken their own record with this one though.

Whether it's bad or not depends on the scene. Correctly expose for the centre and you've lost three stops at the edge which isn't good if there are shadows there. Expose for any corner shadows and there's a chance you'll blow some central highlights. +1 in the centre and -2 in the corners might work. All that said, at f/4 it's ceased to be an issue for all practical considerations.

The only thing I miss about shooting Sony is the Ziess AF lenses...they are superb.

They're not too bad without AF either.

I don't think there's a lens profile for this lens in LR.
