Bee and fly, my first macro subjects, my first ever post.

Hello!

This is my very first post ever in this or any other photography forum.
I discovered photography a few months ago and it is slowly changing the way I see the world.

So here are a couple of shots from earlier today in my garden.
I'm still figuring out manual focusing while these little creatures move around, and I had no diffusers to tame the mid afternoon sun. Composition will take time to learn...

I know my pictures don't get even close to the level I see in this forum, but I'm hoping your comments and criticism will help me move in the right direction.

60D . 100-400L . 70-300mm DO . 100mm f/2.8 macro . 85mm f/1.8 . 50mm f/1.4 . 18-55 kit . 10-22mm . Bower 8mm fisheye . YN565EX . YN568EX . extension tubes . etc... and no idea of what I am doing.

Nicely focused,very nice shots. Those Garlic Chive flowers are a gold mine for bees and flies, spiders, and hoverflies too.
