I purchased a canon wireless remote so I could catch long shots at night without moving my camera/tripod by touching it.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to enable the camera to receive remote triggers.

I remember one time seeing a remote setting in the menu but I can't find it now.

Can someone help me?

No prob. The only stupid question is the one not asked. ;)

I also downloaded the pdf versions of every manual I think I may need when not at my computer. I transferred them to my smartphone so I can easily reference them in the field.

Yep. I have a jump drive with all my manuals as well as list of equipment with serial numbers, etc. It travels with me everywhere.More accessible and easier to read than the originals.

very good ideas. the pdf was only 8mb and I've got a usb drive on my keychain. so i put it there. Could come in handy when I'm out looking for things to frame.

Thanks!
