Hello all,

Regarding the issue of difficulty using the Canon lens caps with hoods on, I've stumbled across something. Porters Camera, one of my favorite places to find out of the way accessories, has these squeeze style lens caps from Hama. They're available in multiple diameters too.

Anyway, hope some of you find this useful!

Very similar to the Tamron lens cap.

Take a picture, it lasts longer (external link)

I bought a number of pinch caps from Fotodiox.com (external link). The prices were very good and the service great.

Hey - those are even nicer - no "Hama" logo on front!

I have the hood reversed on the lens while on the camera and not taking pics. It takes about as much time to remove the cap, flip the hood as it does to take off a pinch cap. AND ITS FREE!

I use a hood hat when using the camera. Much more convenient that trying to put a cap on the lens, no matter what type of cap.
