5D3 + 400L + 1.4x = yay!

I'm very happy to inform that the combo 5D3 with the 400L f/5.6 and te Kenko 1.4x Pro 300 WILL focus VERY fast and precise at f/8!
the center block will work as crosspoints and the Servo will do as a charm!

Did a lot of testing today and the thing just goes without any harms!

Birders, go get yours! ;)

How fast is the AF ?? How does the AF speed compare to a 7D, does it hunt at all ??

No hunting at all! It just goes!
It's pretty fast. Of course a bit slower than without the TC, but still on par with the task.
Tried all the AF points and all them locked pretty well. I'm 100% confident to use this combo any time I need. But yesterdaywas a pretty sunny day, so I'll test again with less than perfect light to see how it behaves.
