I got the new Samyang 24mm f/1.4 on Thursday.
It finally cleared up tonight. So I went out to catch some aurora
It seems to perform better than the Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II
No distortion of the stars in the extremities. The Canon was terrible

This was taken in Grotfjord, outside the city of Tromsoe in Norway :)

That's a beautiful aurora. Tromsø is actually on my list of places to visit next time I'm in Norge; while I've been to see the aurora in Swedish Lapland, I've not yet been to see it in your country. I think I'm afraid I might not want to leave!

I'm actually surprised that you managed to get such a great colourful shot with such a short exposure time, but I guess the f/1.8 helped! I'm also surprised to see such a vibrant aurora as early as September.

Actually I found an error with this lens. I can't step down the aperture. It's wide open. So I have to send it in.

Tonight was even better :) But those aurora went out of focus since I switched to the Samyang 24mm :(

Lovely.
I ordered mine last night. Can't wait to get it.
May I ask what is the camera body you use as EXIF is removed from you image.
My intention is to use it on FF.

Good. I want it for my 5Dii too.
Still waiting to put hand on it and if it arrives by this weekend, considering still nights are warm and moon is young so lateron at night should be dark enough, I'll head into mountain to catch Milkyway.
