I don`t normally really like to post images of Animals in Zoos etc.. I kind of feel it cheating to get good images when they are so easy to get close to. I like the challenge of getting those shots of free wild animals. Anyway I had to post this one as I really like this image myself and I don`t imagine I will ever get this close to a full grown Bald Eagle in the wild.

I took this picture about a month ago in Kamloops BC. Its was taken at the BC Wildlife Park. They have all kinds of BC native species of Birds and animals such as Cougars and Timber Wolves. All of which are rescues or animals who have been relocated instead of destroyed etc... Really is a cool place. Anyway just a small fact about the many birds they have there including these Eagles. The most common injury an Eagle will get is being hit by a vehicle. Because they are scavengers they spend a lot of time on the highways and end up getting hit.

Plan on going back again someday. Cool place.

Owls run a close second for how they get injured the same way. Magnificent bird.
