This was my first time at an airshow in nigh on 30 years (possibly more) and what a fantastic day out it was.
These photos arn't a patch on some of the ones posted on this forum, but I thought them worthy of sharing with you.
I'm mighty pleased with the 100-400 paired with my 550D, it did the job amicably (the IS really helped as towards the end of 4 hours of airshow, my arms were aching, although I did use the monopod for a while).
Enjoy:

A Red Arrow (I would of needed to pull back wider than 100mm to get the smoke patterns, so settled on a tight crop)

Meteor - nice story about this particular plane in that it used to be a static "statue" outside the local airbase until someone decided to rebuild it.

Not sure what this is but at least it was slow enough to experiment and get some rota blur.

I'm not old enough to have experienced WWII, but seeing this really brought a lump to the throat and a tear to the eye.

Not too sure what these are, but they add a splash of colour.

The Vulcan just seems to defy gravity
That's my 8 then. In all, I took around 700 photos and I must say my kepper rate was higher than normal. This was possibly because many were taken in Manual mode (outsite my more comfortable zone of Av/Tv).
A fantastic day out and I've come away with some super momentos.
