Well I'm looking to get a stabilizer (not pro stuff) just to get decent footage.

So the question, which kind will work best for walking over rocks, Merlin style or Flycam/Glidecam ?? The videos I try to record are while we go rock crawling with the jeeps, some shots walking at the sides but is very irregular terrain.

So what would work best?

I'm not convinced any system will work if you are trying to traverse rough terrain.

0:18 most rough terrain will look smooth with a good quality stabiliser like the Glidecam or Merlin
