On my way back to FL from CO and want to visit AR, primarily for waterfalls and fall color. I understand the drought caused many streams to go dry or nearly so, but I wonder if Isaac brought them back to good flow. Also, any idea when fall colors will peak this year? Appreciate any help I might get.

Stan, I'm located in NE Mo, far from the area you want to visit but I can tell you that no fall color has started here and won't for about 2 weeks or longer. Fall colors in AR should be best the last week of Oct or first week of Nov.
The drought in my area has been extreme and Isaac brought 2 inches of rain for myself and as much as 5 inches in nearby areas, it has made the grass green again but there was absolutely no run off. I've seen many thunderstorms pass South of here near the Mo/AR border so hopefully you will find more pleasant conditions in that area on your way through.
If someone is not of more help soon, I can make a phone call and perhaps find out what water levels are doing in the Ozarks. Have a pleasant and safe trip back home.

Thanks to you both. I have been delaying the homeward trip, hoping to find color in AR by early Oct. If not, it'll have to be another year. We promised to be home by Oct 15 (grandkids, you know).

Hi Stan. Sorry I didn't see your post sooner. We have had some of the best fall colors in years here in Ontario but they are fading now. But then that would have been a long detour for you. Hope you got back to Seminole safely.
