Here's sharing some more birds from our islands, all taken with the Sigmonster (Sigma 300-800 DG)

1. Lowland White-eye (a near Philippine endemic), on 350D, 687 mm, 1/80 sec, f/5.6, ISO 400, manual exposure

I am always amazed by the pictures and quality that you achieve with this lens! :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

These ones are no exception to your very high standards and work. The Lowland White-eye almost looks like it was posed in a museum exhibit not out in the wild!!

Is it my imagination/poor eyesight or does the
Falconet have a serrated bill?

I got lucky in timing the shot with the white-eye - it's a very active bird, and I was able to catch him in a moment of pause with a relatively slow 1/80 sec shutter.

The falconet indeed has a serrated bill. This pic is among the most detailed ever taken of it in the wild, and the peculiar bill was an item of deep interest among BirdForum fellow members when this was first posted there.
