Hi there,

I'm considering buying my first ever flash for my Canon Rebel XS and have been looking around at different options. I'm a student and money is pretty tight, but I need a flash for dance pics at weddings because even with my settings changed, my pics still tend to be dark.

I was thinking about the Canon, but it's out of my range and then spotted then Yongnuo flashes and subsequently the Meike range.

I am lost as to which one to buy. There are some cheaper range ones offered by Meike that offer TTL, are they worth it? I use two lenses, my nifty and my Tamron 18-270, but I do not zoom to the full 270 when the lighting is dark as I cannot adjust my aperture settings to accommodate for the lack of light.

Considering the MK950/ MK951 or even the MK 430, but I'm unsure if I should throw in the extra $20 or so for a Yongnuo?

I would appreciate any feedback and help regarding these flashes.

Thanks

Don't know about Meike but the Yongnuo ETTL flashes work good.
The features on various models are listed here:

,
Be sure to practice with the flash before actually shooting a wedding, you have to learn to shoot in manual mode with the flash on ETTL, getting the right settings, etc.
