So I am looking at either using my name "Adam Claude Photography" or "Shutter Up Photography", and here are some watermarks Ive designed and put together.

Dont worry about hurting my feelings. If its crap, say so. If you like it, please say so too.

Im leaving the voting open until I make a final decision, and you CAN vote for MORE THAN ONE!

Thanks in advance,

Adam

I am new to Photoshop (I have Elements 10) and I designed all of these ina few hours today. Let me know what I can do to improve!

Darker, check!

As for the size, these are cropped parts of this photo...

I enlarged them a little to show the detail for web images. I wouldnt normally use a 10th of the image for my watermark

I think there is a variant of number 5 that will be a winner.

are you shutter up photography or adam claude photography? use the name without the logo, like number one, or use the logo without the name. I don't like the script font though. and if the pic of the dog shows how big it will be, i think you should make it much smaller and more opaque, right now it's as much of the subject as the dog

I don't like the name Shutter Up - while its clever and creative, it gave me the sense of having to take someone's photos in order to Shut Them Up -- eg: a teenager participating in a family photo to shut his mom up! LOL.

I like the first one with just your name. Much classier in my view. :D

Clever ideas, but I would change the font for sure.

I have to agree. For my personal taste (which might be completely different from your customers of course), I'd prefer a simpler font.

Having said that, I love the flags idea (the smaller version). Cool.

Do you have suggestions for fonts? Theres more than a hundred it seems to choose from in Photoshop Elements 10.

I prefer a lot of the sans-serif, simpler fonts...

Not sure about what is available in PSE10, but try some of the simpler, cleaner fonts that don't distract the eye too much.

Try a few and maybe ask for thoughts and feedback on the fonts?

I voted none. I dont like any of them. The point of a watermark is identification. For whatever purpose, copyright, or just spreading the word. And none of these stand out to me. The lettering is a bit hard to read unless you already know what it says. And unless you theme the company in nautical ways... The flags are simply strange. Beside the fact that only about 10% of the population could tell you what they are. The clipart does not really blend with the script either. It looks like two companies are claiming the same image.

I was one of the early "None" voters, and now coming back to it a few days later, I still feel 'None', but what about taking #5, and moving the 'up' logo to where the word 'up' is? Shutter (Logo) Photography.

I feel as though they all take up too much real estate in the photo.

The name Shutter Up - has negative connotations as mentioned earlier.

The ones with both a name and a logo seem to be too long and will overwhelm your photos. I voted for the first, because it's the least conspicuous but I don't think it would really work on every photo.
