I got my D30 last week and love it. I checked the past post and havn't seen an answer to this question. Is there a plugin to open .crw directly in photoshop 5.5 or any newer version of photoshop.

Thanks
Eugene

hi...

the drivers that go into the plugins/import export folder are included on your canon solutions disk...

you can also download them from the canon website (they have the most current version there)

http://www.usa.canon.com/support/files/digital.html (external link)

instructions are included...

it's a little slow (although not as slow as the original version) but still is the best way to get those images into photoshop...make sure you give ps LOTS of extra ram or you may keep getting "out of memory" errors from the plug in...

good luck

bob

Note that the Photoshop Plugin offered by Canon is for the Mac only.

Bibble provides a Photoshop Plugin for Win systems however I was not satisfied with the color. I'm sure that one could create an action which would correct for this, but life is too short for me to figure it out.

I use BreezeBrowser. It has excellent previews and can be automated. I wish BreezeBrowser operated as a Photoshop Plugin...oh well we can't have everything. :-(

sorry...

forgot the whole world didn't have macs : )))

now from the grass is greener side...

i wish breezebrowser was for the mac too : /

i guess canon is mighty selfish with their mac code...
