Saw this guy stuffing around with this fish so much the inevitable finally happened..... he went after it again, but came up empty beaked! I guess he'd be wanting an opposable thumb or two after that! :lol:

You can see the stab wound in the second shot.......that's one sharp and fast beak to be able to do that!

Having said that it would be a big fish to throw down that neck!

cheers everyone, glad you enjoyed them. I was just sitting around on the rocks taking shots of anything and everything, when he popped up right in front of me doing that. Right time, right place.....as is always the case! I have a few more, but more of the same, I miss focused on the one I took just after the first shot, where it was just sitting sideways on it's beak.

ah, ones person entertainment is another birds dinner!

Here's another shot (it's the shot immediately before the second one I originally posted) which blurrily shows the beak doing it's thing.
This is a 100% crop, and misfocussed as well, so sorry about that. :oops: He was flapping around pretty hard though and was hard to keep it on the center point.
