I was going through some boxes the other day and came across my orginal set of lenses, on the left is the EF 35-80 f/4- 5.6 Mk III and on the right is the EF 80-200 f/4.5-5.6 Mk II; neither has lens correction data in Lightroom and the both combined weigh less than my 70-200 f4L (non-IS) The 35-80 just shows up as (%) when I have lightroom display the info. The 35-80 was the kit lens and I remember saving up to buy the 80-200 while I was in high school. Still I couldn't help but stick them on the Xsi and get a few snaps for old times sake.

So now that I've gotten in the still life and the B&W (because I really didn't know if this was lens discussion or general photo talk, but I knew I wanted to share a few snaps), anyone have their original lenses still? I think the interesting part of this is to see some old gear get dusted off and what it can still do by today's standards, when so many on this board are sweating what the latest gadget Canon is going to announce, will be and should they get SomethingDmkNow or the SomethingDmkTomorrow.
