Im always open for C&C. I am tweaking my style more and more and going more strobe/ND filter. I would love to know what you think.

Very nice set! I would have liked to see a couple without the fill flash!

I did 2 - one to show what the difference looked like, and another to give a slightly different look to. Here is the second.

Here's my take.

#1. Very nice. The lighting looks great. Maybe clone out that think piece of branch that's breaching the mountain in the horizon? (Yeah, heck of a nit pick I know!)

#2. Looks crooked. Leaves me wanting to see more of that path as leading lines. The color temp, color, and contrast looks very different from #1.

#3. Very nice.

#4. This is nice but I'd definitely make the colors on the shrubbery pop out more.

#5. Good shot.

#6. I feel like it would be better without the horizon line since it's all the way at the top, but I like it overall. But again, it lacks the color/contrast pop of #1.

#7. I like the pathway a lot. What's that ray of light coming from the left though? Is that your lighting?

#8. Another nice shot. But again, I prefer the look you are getting with #1.

Overall, these are very nice. Very scenic too.

1. Funny you say that. I noticed it for the first time when I posted it.

2. I dont think it is crooked - the mountains kinda do something funny like that. I couldnt pull back any more because (if you look closely at the bottom right corner it is a little dark) I had my lightstand placed right off camera.

3. Thank you. I pulled out the reflector for this and was happy with it.

4. I actually made the colors pop a lot - they are mostly brown with a little red in them. I didnt want to WAY overdo it.

5. Thanks.

6. Makes sense, and I could have shot more down on them a little, but I kinda like the horizon line. It lacks the contrast and pop because the sun went down behind the clouds, so in order to mix the flash with the ambient I had to tone everything down more.

7. My lighting is coming from the left, and I wasnt sure I liked this image. I try to keep my lighting more subtle and natural looking, but I wanted to try something new here. Im somewhat surprised it is getting a positive reaction.

8. Again, the sun went down. I can get a lot more pop when I am running full power with the Einstein and the sun is strong, but I get a lot less images because I have to move the strobe for each shot. I am really happy with 1, but I am actually happy with the variety I got for all the images.

Thanks Nick for all of your comments. I always appreciate it.

They're a nice set. #4 is my favorite and #6 seems a hair on the cool side for me. A little more posed, smiling, looking at the camera than is really my style but they're done well.

I am super cool n' stuff.
