I've seen some threads of people posting their guitars, but no thread where everyone can share their most treasured axe with other guitar enthusiasts. Post your axe or your acoustic wingman to swoon the ladies with tune. Share your stories of the guitars! And I'm not excluding my 4/5/6/7/8 string brethren, post those low end monsters as well!

I've been away in Japan for the past 7 months, and I didn't get to see any of my guitars until a little while ago and boy was it great playing them again.

Sounds like fun.
Admittedly, not great photography (only images I happen to have handy)...but here's my favorite acoustic and electric.

Nice! Is that a J-50? I really wanted to get a J-45 for a long time and they sound lovely, but found that they just aren't for me :[YET!

Any more pictures of that beauty?

Thanks. yes, a J-50... 1965 I believe. It's been played a ton. I've owned it for 25 years, hope to have it for 25 more.:D

The Gibson is a 79 Deluxe that I bought new btw.

Here's some of the play wear on the J50:

'69 CS Heavy Relic strats. Owned about 20 strats over the years of all make and manufacture. Fender's Custom Shop strats are the real deal.

1. "Whitey"

2. Same build in my favorite "Cream of Tomato Soup" red:

Before anybody hacks on me for the 'relic' guitars, I play in a Hippie 60s show band complete with period-correct stage gear, costumes, wigs, etc. Our show is essentially seeing a 60s concert. During the show I also play a VOX Teardrop model, a Rickenbacker 360/V12 and a modern acoustic/electric on a few songs. Only the acoustic is 'modern.' All else is vintage era 60s or LOOKS (the strats) like it's from the 60s.

If that's the case, then shouldn't these look pretty new? :D

And wow - that J-50 looks like it's got a few miles on it!

Here is a cell phone pic of my Warmoth Strat build. I painted and assembled it myself. I went for a WWII Jeep/truck design.

Here are two pics I took when i was testing out a new-to-me lens (Vivitar/Komine 90 macro) after receiving it. Both are taken from a Charvel ProMod.

What a beautiful instrument! I'm not a guitar player (okay, so I play power chords, big deal), but I want that in my home studio...

It was a fun guitar 710, and had all of the Beatles/Byrds jangle in spades. I reached a point where to bring a new one in, and old one had to go.:(

My loss and had I only known. My Ric 360/V12 is such a mess it can't be completely straightened out. Was stored in the trunk of the former guitar player's car whom I replaced 4 years ago. Below freezing or above 90, the guitar never left the guy's trunk!

And I have to play this POS?!!!

You should hear a Ric 360/V12 played through my VOX amp, with jangle-box compressor. It sounds so much like the Byrds it's scary!

Beautiful copy of that guitar. Again, if we only knew each other, I would have LOVED to upgrade to one that appears to be in really good shape.

Dave-
One of teh worlds best Ric luthiers in the world is out in Seattle. If you have an interest, shoot me a PM and I'll forward details. Works reasonably and generally can do magic.

THe Ric/AC30 sound is the music of my youth!

Touji-
Thanks... this was the photo in the 'for sale' listing so I guess it worked!
