Fan-tailed Ravens - Masada, Israel

Another life list addition. I captured these birds as they soared on the thermals at the top of Masada the 2000 year old desert fortress/palace of Herod the Great overlooking the Dead Sea.

These birds are about the size of carrion crows but with a fairly strong beak like other ravens.

What a powerful looking bird. The detail on the underside of the wings is wonderful. Congratulations on anther lifer Stephen.
