I shoot the following in quantity. Reflect what I enjoy shooting and what I see myself shooting going forwards:

1. Candids/ Portraits outdoors
2. Candids / Portraits indoors
-Gap-
3. Wildlife
-Larger gap-
4. Landscapes
-Gap-
5. Everything else

Combining with the lenses I already have now, I could have either

A crop body + 17-55 + 50 1.8 + 55-250 +85 1.8, and room for some other accessories like a speedlite.

OR

5D MK II with the kit 24-105 + 50 1.8.

Which setup would be more beneficial to the type of shooting I am doing? I wouldn't be in a financial position to add much to either setup for another year or so.

Well for the first two, either options will deliver great results. Just use the right lens for the right situation. For wildlife, its really a draw. It depends on what kind of wildlife. 250mm is not exactly a long FL for that. For landscapes I would go with the FF body everytime.

Not sure what price difference there would between what your 2 options, but I would go with a 5D2 with the 24-105 kit, the 50 1.8 is great for indoors, and save up for a 300 f4 for wildlife photos. The 24-105 is great for landscape as well. There's alot of things that you can do...

This.

It is better regardless of type of shooting. It's just better in every single way.

I would personally go crop/17-55 because of your preference of wildlife over landscape. Both options are near useless for reach, but the same telephoto will give you a better option of reach on the crop- especially if we are talking 7D/60D quality.

Since you want to shoot everything, my best opinion for you is to build your lens set first before upgrading a camera (unless it is less than 10megapixels). Next on your collection, I would upgrade your 55-250 with a 70-200L. When you are happy with your lens set, then maybe that will be the time to upgrade your camera. If you shoot a lot of extreme conditions like low light, or sports then perhaps you can look at a camera first that can do that job a bit better. I think you will limit your photography skills if you only have a 5Dii and a lens set limited at the mid-range focal distances.
